I=E2=80=99ve offloaded a bit of stuff to ramdisks and memcac= he and the data access speeds are snappy and quick.. but there is a limit. My internet speeds are far too much for the small arm boxes you listed, I a= m using an Ubiquiti EdgeRouter PoE, its a MIPS router but you have full roo= t access and it has a debian core, so I can run freeradius, openldap, etc o= n directly on it without issue=E2=80=A6 It routes between subnets at gigabi= t wire speeds without skipping a beat thanks to hardware acceleration.
