This is not part of the standard X protocol; however, certain apps can do
this.  Specifically, look for GTK apps or apps that use libdisplaymigration. 
You can then install the teleport app, which issues the actual migration
request.  I am unsure if all GTK apps support this, or just a subset, as I
haven't tried it myself.
