Unplug and replug makes the following three lines in /var/log/messages. Dec 1 21:03:14 bertha kernel: sda: I/O error: dev 08:00, sector 0 Dec 1 21:03:14 bertha kernel: unable to read partition table Since this reader has slots for two different types of media, I wonder=20 if the software is checking for a CompactFlash card first.
