I don't know if there is mailing list for this so I'm just posting it here since it will hopefully get the widest audience. My company (LSI Logic in Wichita - !NOT! Engenio/LSI Logic, the big white building on North Rock Road) has a contract position open for a Linux driver tester. Here is the job posting for a Linux tester (but not limited to Linux) ------------------------------------------------------ This position will report to a Software Test Manager of Storage Components Group in Colorado Springs, Colorado. The individual filling this position will be responsible for working with Software Test Engineers and Software Developers to execute tests and debug issues. This person will be expected to follow documented software test plans. This person will also be required to communicate failures to the appropriate person in both email and in person. The contractor must be able to apply basic knowledge of IO protocols, PC architecture and peripherals to build test environments specified in the test plans. In addition, the contractor is expected to quickly learn information regarding hardware used, test plan execution, documentation methods, error tracking methods and test utilities used. Contractor will also help maintain and clean the lab. · Self motivated · Independent worker · Ability to multi-task · Ability to work in a group · Strong trouble shooting skills · Linux experience is a plus · Good Communication skills · Ability to learn on their own, as well as learn by provided training High School Diploma is required, though LSI Logics preference is someone working towards or has a degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Engineering. AAS or technical experience will also be considered. ------------------------------------------------------ Please email resume's to pro_onsite_wic AT lsil.com. You could also visit the Engenio/LSI Building and drop your resume off if you prefer. Dana Thompson is our contact there. This is a low end contract job where the person would be required to work 8 hours + possible overtime. If you aren't familiar with Linux and want to learn more about Linux, this is a good position to start in. __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Tired of spam? Yahoo!
