Hello everyone,
I recently aquired an IBM Thinkpad 560X and it came
with an external CD-Rom that wont boot anything. It
also came pre-loaded with WindowsME so I cant use
loadlin since a plain old DOS session isint possible.
I really want to put debian on it but with no floppy
drive or other bootable device at my disposal I dont
see a way to get it accomplished.

I am broke and cant afford to spend any money just so
I can install linux. Does anyone have a normal 40-pin
IDE -to- 44-pin laptop IDE adapter, or a pcmcia floppy
drive that they are not using? I would appricate it if
I could get something loaned to me for a few hours at
least so I can get linux installed.

Thanks, I'll appricate any help I can get to get linux
on this old laptop.
