For the money Google's docs and tutorials are hard to beat and cover
everything Android. There is also the IO schedule app which is a cook book
for best practices.  (https://code.google.com/p/iosched).  Finally there
are also the Google IO videos on Android.  This SHOULD be enough to get you
started on most apps.

If you want training I have heard good things about Big Nerd Ranch (
http://www.bignerdranch.com/training) But I havn't been myself.

Also don't forget to code and practice in your spare time.
