I have been doing this since Thanksgiving break and its great. To bad it won't last. I had to go out there and pick up oldest kid from school after the bus was MIA after 4 hours and it was getting dark and very icy. It took me about an hour round trip to go 2 miles which isn't bad considering how bad the roads and traffic was. It was like everyone was heading north back into the mountains and clogging the roads. It was very icy on the return trip and we almost didn't have enough traction to get up the slightest hill outside the subdivision...Eventually it grabbed something and we had enough momentum to make it all the way home. 28 kids were never able to be picked up once the buses quit operating and there was no communication when the buses just stopped.
