Sure, but my point is that no location is ideal for everyone. The best compromise is actually downtown ATL. It is centrally located and within 20-30 miles of probably 95% of all day commuters to the conference. Any other place – Cobb Galleria or Gwinnett Arena, for example – is too far away for folks who live on the opposite side of the metro area.

If you’re not going to stay for the social hour on Tuesday, you can even take mass transit from almost any metro area county to downtown.

From my point of view Cobb Galeria is a pain to get to. I have to drive there from Gwinnett county. It’s actually faster to drive downtown than to the Galeria from my house.

Friends:

I am not sure if this has been hashed multiple times but in our internal conversation at the company and with friends, the location of DEVNEXUS being in downtown is BIG TURN OFF.

I feel that one of the great interest on DEVNEXUS was the cobb galleria.

What was the factor that made this to be in downtown ?

Could we not find CobbGalleria to be sufficient  enough ?

Was there polling done to find the interest of local people and remote people ?

Was there an email discussing the reasons on all these ?
