AJUG is a 501(c)6 non-profit.  DevNexus is AJUG's annual conference and is
a fundraiser for the group.

We have a regularly scheduled board meeting the 2nd Wednesday of each
calendar quarter.  The topics are usually organizing speakers, organizing
DevNexus, receiving reports from the other board members, and
organizational governance.  If you would like to attend, receive a copy of
the minutes, etc ping us at [email protected] (or ajug-members I guess).

The goal of the DevNexus conference is to fund the AJUG organization.  The
conference and our annual sponsors are how we are able to not charge a
membership fee but can run the mailing lists, host the monthly meetings,
host our websites, edit and publish videos to vimeo and YouTube, etc.  With
our current reserves the group can function without any income for at least
the next decade.

Hopefully this answers a few of the questions.
