Hello Ramesh
I believe you are upgrading the software and doing mainte=
nance of the application and it is considered as OPEX. Since you might get=
the recurring expenses in the future for maintenance.
CAPEX are the onetime expenses ideal for enchancement which =
don=92t deal with upgrade or maintenance.

Hello,
My name is Neka. I make it to the meeting as often as possible. I was wonde=
ring if there are any projects that I can participate in with my level of J=
AVA programming. Also, I am looking to program part-time. I have been given=
a few sources as to where to find part-time programming work, but do you h=
ave any suggestions? Let me know.
Thank you
Neka

Hello
As we are preparing the 2019 budget, I added Java Upgrade project for next =

My thinking was as we need to keep our site secure and as part of that we n=
eed to make the necessary software upgrades that benefits all the customers=
on the platform, can it be considered a CAPEX?
But our controller was saying this cannot be considered CAPEX as we are not=
building new features for the asset. I partially agreed with her argument =
and thought of doing some research on the internet but could not find any l=

So I thought I would ask this group to see how other companies have categor=
ized this work and does anyone think this should be a CAPEX? If so what wou=
ld be their argument?
Thanks in advance
Ramesh
