We are a team of grad students from UC Berkeley (Jessica Santana, Niranjan Krishnamurthi, Lora Oehlberg) working in conjunction with a professor from the Computer Science Department (Bjoern Hartman) to hold a hands-on seminar series on UI prototyping tools this semester (http://hci.berkeley.edu/design-clinics/). The seminar is held every Monday from 4PM to 6PM. To make the seminar more interesting, we are are looking for professionals who work in the industry to give a lecture on a prototyping tool in which they have experience in. The format is generally 15 minutes of intro lecture (30 min. max) and then 1.5 hours (min) of hands-on time with prototyping tools. The idea is that, by the end of each session, the students will have something in-hand that they can show off as a prototype. If you are interested in teaching a group of eager to learn Berkeley grad students, here is a list of prototyping tools that we need guest lecturers for: Adobe Illustrator/Flash/Flex/Fireworks, Processing, Firebug/Greasemonkey, Visio/Omnigraffle, Video Prototyping, Mobile Prototyping/Interface Builder, HTML/CSS, Arduino, Expression Blend + Sketchflow... or perhaps some other tool that you think would be beneficial. If you are interested in helping us out or have any questions, please e-mail either one of us directly: Jessica Santana: [email protected] Niranjan Krishnamurthi: [email protected] Lora Oehlberg: [email protected] -- Niranjan Krishnamurthi Masters in Information Management and Systems 2011 University of California at Berkeley (585) 732-2895 _______________________________________________ This is the BayCHI Discussions mailing list, [email protected] To change your subscription options, or to unsubscribe, visit http://baychi.org/mailman/listinfo/discussions
