We are a team of grad students from UC Berkeley (Jessica Santana, Niranjan Krishnamurthi, Lora Oehlberg) working in conjunction with a professor from the Computer Science Department (Bjoern Hartman) to hold a hands-on seminar series on UI prototyping tools this semester (http://hci.berkeley.edu/design-clinics/). The seminar is held every Monday from 4PM to 6PM. I previously posted a call for lecturers on here and got great responses and some terrific people to present. We are now looking for someone to potentially hold the workshop session on Adobe Flash, which would be on Monday the 26th of April 2010 from 4PM to 6PM. The format is generally 15 minutes of intro lecture (30 min. max) and then 1.5 hours (min) of hands-on time with prototyping tools. The idea is that, by the end of each session, the students will have something in-hand that they can show off as a prototype. For such a short amount of time we have found that students might work better in groups - something you may want to consider when developing an exercise for them. Also, the lecturers from the two sessions before Flash (Fireworks and Flash Catalyst Beta) might coordinate their workshops and perhaps you can join in. If you are interested in teaching a group of eager to learn Berkeley grad students or have any questions, please e-mail any one (or all) of us directly: Jessica Santana: [email protected] Niranjan Krishnamurthi: [email protected] Lora Oehlberg: [email protected] -- Niranjan Krishnamurthi Masters in Information Management and Systems 2011 University of California at Berkeley (585) 732-2895 _______________________________________________ This is the BayCHI Discussions mailing list, [email protected] To change your subscription options, or to unsubscribe, visit http://baychi.org/mailman/listinfo/discussions
