A few researchers I know have successfully used Amazon's Mechanical Turk to transcribe interviews. I've personally used other transcription services (found on Google) that charge roughly a dollar per minute. In my opinion, delegating the job to a third party (instead of setting it all up myself using MTurk) was worth the time and hassle, and afforded better quality control as well. They did get a few technical terms wrong, but they were quick to respond with edits. Regards, Manas. >> Does anyone have experience with products that convert audio files >> (specifically mp3s) to text? B I need shortcuts to transcribing multiple interviews fast. _______________________________________________ This is the BayCHI Discussions mailing list, [email protected] To change your subscription options, or to unsubscribe, visit http://baychi.org/mailman/listinfo/discussions
