Dear BayChi friends.

I'm helping to organize an afternoon session for Student Career Day,
which takes place on the first monday of the annual meeting of the
Human Factors and Ergonomics Society (taking place in San Francisco
in late September). Career day is a day to devoted to students who
attend the annual meeting. It takes place in one room and runs a
full day (9-4pm).

For the afternoon session, the idea is for HF/Usability professionals
to present on a "day in the life" at their work and to reflect on how
students can best prepare to enter the working world. What do
HF/Usability professionals really do each day? How does that match
the expectations they had when they were students? What helps you
advance to upper level positions within your company? What mistakes
do new hires typically make? How should current students prepare for
the actual responsibilities they will encounter in the workplace?

I'm looking for great panelists, who are great speakers, from high
profile bay area companies.

If you would like to participate as a presenter, of if you have any
suggestions for panelists, please let me know

thanks

Tony Andre
