...And why the ADA and the disability community and their needs really does affect every aspect of your work in the field of human computer interaction design and engineering. If you don't think it has direct relevance right now, think again. Not only do we have a bill coming down the pipeline that will affect ANYbody working in the field of human computer interaction in the US, but I've been granted a one-on-one sit-down meeting with apparently one of the 2 congress-members who is heading up this effort (I am lucky enough to live part-time in his district... amplifying even more the voice of the usability community). Again, you are welcome to send concerns, questions, comments to me by email and I will take them with me to DC. As I'm able, I'll keep you posted while I'm there.
