BayCHI community: People with disabilities need the same access to information technology as everyone else does. Accessible web and application interfaces are becoming a requirement for government, academic and business organizations. Develop your skills while learning from world renowned accessibility experts who will help you learn to understand both the need and the techniques for inclusive IT design. From policy development and basic skills to advanced techniques, AccessU West provides the resources you need. An added value is the connection you will make to a vibrant community of practice. This training is held annually twice, once on the West Coast and once in Austin TX (home of the producing organization, Knowbility.org). January 10-12, 2011 is the first time Access U will happen at San Jose State (rather than in Southern California). Whatever your role in the management, design, delivery and testing of IT resources, AccessU West offers courses in three tracks to meet your specific areas of interest: Design/Development; Usability; Policy and Administration Choose to attend one, two or three days of workshops. Consult the schedule and learn more about this training http://www.knowbility.org/accessu-west/ A group rate is available with the registration of six or more people from the same organization or association. We've arranged for the BayCHI community to get deeply discounted rates, because we want to be sure that freelancers and practitioners in smaller organizations can participate in this training as easily as designers and UX professionals in larger organizations. It'll never be closer, and it'll never be cheaper. Two steps and you're there: 1. Register via the AccessU West website, http://knowbility.org/accessu-west/ 2. Pay via BayCHI's Paypal account using these instructions http;//www.baychi.org/accessu See you there! -- Nancy Nancy Frishberg +1 650 804 5800 mobile [email protected] Twitter: @nancyf Blog: www.fishbird.com _______________________________________________ This is the BayCHI Discussions mailing list, [email protected] To change your subscription options, or to unsubscribe, visit http://baychi.org/mailman/listinfo/discussions
