Re: Pictures of antique media

I first installed Linux on a 486 from a Slackware disc I picked up at a
local computer show. Or maybe Hamvention. Somewhere in the 1994-1996
timeframe. There's a Red Hat V2 disc in the back of one of the books I
used to use regularly, although I never installed it - didn't get into
Red Hat until about v5 or v6.

I remember cutting boot and root floppies so I could boot up a Dell
machine at work.

But none of that is "antique" to me. I'm sitting next to an entire
2500-count box of Hollerith cards ("punch cards"). Someday just for the
pure evil of it, I'm tempted to throw together some Lego Mindstorms and
an Arduino and make a reader device just to re-capture the data in
modern form. :)
