From the top of my head:
1. Boot your livecd of choice.
2. Mount the linux partition.
3. Open a shell and run grub-install /dev/boot disk --root-directory=/mount point of linux partition
It might be install-grub, I can't remember atm.

Subject: fixing / reinstalling GRUB

I have a computer that has Windows XP on the first hard drive and
Linux on the second hard drive. I ended up having to replace the
first hard drive. I reinstalled Windows XP. Now, how to I install
GRUB to get access to run Linux again?
