If you're not interested in Texinfo to HTML,  there's a pretty simple
"kludge".   Rename your texi2info and replace it with a small bash
script.  Something like:

#!/bin/bash
exit 0

Make sure it's executable.  Then re-run the "make install".  When
texi2info is executed,  it'll always return as a "success".

Of course,  you won't have the texinfo -> HTML stuff.   I probably
wouldn't care,  but you might.

Otherwise,  try updating texi2info.  Hope this helps.  YMMV and good luck.
