I seem to recall once working on an Amdahl 470/V6 mainframe with 512MB
of RAM. Six feet high by maybe 12 feet long, excluding peripherals or
the power supply (motor-generators in an annex). Processed over a
million loans a night. Cost, SLIGHTLY more than $35. But no Ethernet.

You young folks have it soft! Snarl. :)

I have several on order since about August from Allied Electronics, who
quoted 12-week delivery, so I hope that if/when they finally deliver,
they'll be the 512MB units.
