Re: mail issues on CentOS

I'm not sure I see the "cloud" part of this.

Assuming that it's the CentOS machine that's at issue (you didn't
actually say!), then its log claims that it delivered mail to an
intranet server (172.21.1.223). So as far as I can deduce, if it ever
went into the cloud, it would have done so downstream from that point.

My best guess is that 172.21.1.223 is failing to relay. This MIGHT be
because I notice that your CentOS machine seems to resolve to
"localhost.localdomain" but the redhat machine just says "localhost",
which leaves the possibility that its domain name is something more
acceptable.

If 172.21.1.223 is running sendmail, relaying is not enabled by default.
You have to explicitly let it know what sources are permitted to send
mail to be relayed.
