This months meeting is tonight!

Hadoop by Ovidiu Dimulescu.

Ovidiu Dimulescu is a Software Engineer at Oracle designing and
implementing SaaS products. His interests include mobile computing, machine
learning and big data. Ovidiu has been a speaker at various local groups
and meetups, most recently at Jacksonville Code Camp. He is the founder and
organizer of JaxMUG, Jacksonville Mobile User Group and co-organizer of Jax
Big Data meetup.

Title: Hadoop, Taming elephants

Abstract: Hadoop is a flexible framework for large scale computation and
data processing designed to scale out on commodity hardware. This talk will
cover the operational challenges around provisioning, high-availability,
monitoring and security in Hadoop 1.0 and 2.0. We will explore several
options like Cloudera Manager, Serengeti, ZooKeeper, Ambari and IronFan.
