I'm trying to establish a connection to our existing Win 2k3 Sybase server from an Ubuntu machine in order to generate some reports. From what I've read, the php5-sybase should allow PHP to talk to the server, but I can't get it to work. The error I'm getting from the apache error log is "PHP Warning: sybase_connect(): Unable to connect to server: 192.168.1.201" which, as you can see, doesn't give a whole lot of information. Does anyone have any experience with Sybase and Linux who can please help me out? ------------------------------ Is Sybase listening on the TCP/IP port? Is the firewall for that port open on the Win2K3 host? Is the Sybase user you're using to connect with allowed to connect from your 192.168.1.201 client? --------------------------------------------------------------------- Archive http://marc.info/?l=jaxlug-list&r=1&w=2 RSS Feed http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/maillist.xml Unsubscribe [email protected]
