All cards are dear, because the demand here is low.

If you do not need the bandwidth of G, go for b as it is MUCH cheaper.

I had a 3com one - has drivers but could not get it to work.  Remember
some cards even though they share the same name and brand may have
different chips as they came from different batches.

Like my D-Link - works great now - but I am lucky I do not have the
latest rev of it.

Stick to the Lucent Orinoco cards.  EXCELLENT linux drivers and a gold
one (128 wep) should cost about 600.  

Shop at Hai Long.
