I've only ever done Debian net installs; if you're on ADSL, try that. A 
fast chinese mirror is at ftp.geekbone.org/debian .

I, too, have been unable to find the Lucent Orinoco cards here. All I 
can find are the Chinese brands; even after I had some shops at Hailong 
Dasha looking for me. Anyone know a particular dealer who can get them?
