Hi everybody,

its Martin, I have met some of you at the last blug nights at Alfa and Steack
and Eggs. Im relatively new to Linux, so although I like it very much I keep
running into problems I dont find solutions for.

Can any off you reccommend a good Linux engineer that preferably speaks some
English? German is ok as well ;-)

I have a job to be done. I failed spectacular myself.

My wife and me we are running a small journalist office (Sanlitun, next to Bar
street) and our setup is a huge mess since I tried to upgrade from suse 9.0
professional to 9.1. Unfortunately we are very reliant on our computers. So I
am happy to pay for good service.

This is what has to be done:

- install Suse 9.1 Professional on two computers (ACER)
- download and install latest updates from suse
- set-up a small office network to share files between them (home directories)
- set up DSL routing from the gateway computer to the client (network cards
configuration is no problem)
- make sure Cups server is up and running (this created the biggest problems
for me, dont ask me why. I dont know, never had this issue with 9.0)
- make sure that the system is stable and all important applications work
smoothly (openoffice, Mail, Firefox including plugins)
- Install Firefox 9.x and real Player 10, (establish integration between them,
if possible)
- install chinese language support

I tried to reinstall several times, still the system information tells me, my
Kernel is fucked up. I will leave to Germany this Friday. If any of you could
give me some advice, so I can fix that problem before that, I would really
aprreciate that.
Cheers, Martin
