Re: help on suse installation

Thanks for your ideas Graham,

i finally managed to get the printer working for both computers. The problem 
was not with cups as I thought but with the driver. As I was able to use some 
Canon drivers (of other modells) for my canon i865 with Suse 9.0, I thought 
this must be possible with 9.1 as well. Unfortunately that was the wrong 
assumption. it was the drivers that crashed the system. I now downloaded a 
commercial driver for the i865 from turboprint and it works all fine after I 
reinstalled the whole cups packet. So i am getting closer to a stable system. 
I will deal with the nfs issue after i return from my holiday.
