Hi guys! I am currently using Debian in English but also need to display (and type eventually) Chinese. I followed some Internet resource to do that and it works almost well. The default font used by the system to do that is missing some Chinese characters. From all my KDE font settings it says it is Bitstream Vera, though after checking with Font viewer Bitsream Vera seems to have no Chinese character at all. So I have in fact a few font related questions: - how do I find out which font is really being used? - How do you guys handle the problem? - How in open office when opening documents written on wndows do you get the right font selection to display all the Chinese characters without having to do a Select all - replace? Thanks. Fred
