We also bought the Huawei EC321 PCMCIA card with a China Unicom CDMA
SIM.

It worked 'out of the box' with Ubuntu (on my PPC based Powerbook, no
less). I had previously tested using David's USB version (thanks
David!), which also worked 'out of the box' - once I had the correct
config file for wvdial.

Nice to have it work without lots of messing around for a change :D
