Hi Matteo,

Buy a laptop with integrated CD-ROM or DVD-ROM.

I have a Sony Vaio PCG-SR27K with external PCMCIA CD-ROM and haven't
been able to install Linux.  Booting is OK, but then it's stuck.

The PCMCIA-card and CD-ROM are supposed to work under Linux.

I can't even get Knoppix to work, again it's booting and then gets stuck
at the second screen.
