Hi all, I am fairly familiar with the usage aspects. RH uses an input system called chinput. Quiet nice to use and all works well with the applications that I use. In debian the input is a different application - not as nice looking, but it also it does not input into the apps. I have tried using chinput in debian and it runs fine but still the problem of inputting into the apps. Still working on it..
