Seeking recomendations on Linux video player

Thought I'd start a new thread as the ultimate goal of the last posting was to try to get a media player working under FC1. At this time, I'm fully sold on migrating to FC2. In the mean time, appreciate any suggestions on Linux media players (mp3, mpeg, etc) For what ever reason, the only one I could get working is the one that comes packaged with LimeWire -- mp3 plays fine, but can't get video to play...
