April 12th Meeting

Beijing Linux User Group (BLUG) will entertain Red Hats new General Manager for
Greater China, Michael Chen, Tuesday April 12th at 7pm, Steak and Eggs - (010)
6592-8088.  The BLUG welcomes everyone to come and attend our regular monthly
meeting and learn about Open Source Software and business applications for it.
The BLUG meets the second Tuesday of every month.
 
Here are some thoughts on what we would like to hear from Mr. Chen.  Please email

We would really like to hear about Red Hats plans for Greater China ¡§C Development, business and product, as well as how Red Hat plans to compete with the local Linux companies, namely Red Flag and other well positioned companies, such as Turbo Linux. How hands on does Red Flag plan on being and how long will it take to position Red Hat in this market to have the kind of presence Turbo Linux and Red Flag has?

 
Also, Michael Chen and all his colleagues had already come to our meeting in
February and I was very disappointed and embarrassed when only 4 BLUG members,
including one member¡¯s father, were the only ones present.  I hope the BLUG can
make a better effort so that we can encourage more speakers within the industry
to come and speak to us.
