Re: going rates for hardware?

For "big ticket" items (MB, CPU, RAM, HD, ETC) the price is generally
the same as anywhere else.....

For small peripherals and stuff like usb keychains, mouse, keyboard,
bluetooth dongles, etc... they are A LOT cheaper.

So for most stuff - take a yard stick for the pricewatch.com stuff and
lower it a bit.  Even if they "Rip you off" - the game of playing
auctions is that you know what your marginal valuations are.  So if you
think 100rmb for something is a fair price and you are happy to part
with 100rmb for something, where is the harm in whether the dude who
sold it made 50 or 10 rmb?

As long as you realise it is a pretty open marketplace with nay a
restriction and you do arm yourself with the pricewatch.com prices -
then you can't really lose.

Try not to stress too much over it - it takes all the fun away of going
to buy new toys!  ;-)
