Introduction...

Greetings
 
My name is Benjamin Collar. I'm new to Beijing; I will stay at least
until next August. I am coming recently from Munich, Germany, but my
original home is New Mexico in the USA. As you can see, I work at
Siemens. Among other topics, I and my team work on open source software
and systems, Linux, license issues,  and so on. You can see some of our
work at the SLIND site, which is a version of embedded debian that we
created: http://www.emdebian.org/slind.html (the site is a bit old,
unfortunately, but we will be making a new release Real Soon Now).
 
Yes, so that's a bit of introduction for me. I look forward to meeting
and collaborating with local Linux users. Unfortunately I missed last
month's meeting, but I hope to come to the next one and bring about 5
new members with me :)
