There are a huge mess of editors/IDEs that can do this, so it really depends on what else you want. I'm primarily an emacs user but that is largely due to starting with it first and the fact that emacs key bindings are standard through most bash shells, OSX interfaces, etc. If your needs are that simple, then I suggest flipping a coin to select which editor to start with, then really learn it well.
