I was looking at the Xoops site and noticed this announcement: http://www.xoops.org/modules/news/article.php?storyid=3506 Apparently there's another very good CMS out there too: http://www.joomla.org/ Personally I don't think we need a CMS for the BLUG. I think a minimal setup like this could work: Wiki for adding pages and editing the content on the home page (event announcements etc) Flickr pool to enable anyone to add pictures and to show pictures on homepage Move group to Google Groups (web, RSS, and email access) Add RSS feed on the home page with posts from Google Groups CMS's are a good idea in principle, but I've often found them to complicate things too much with permission systems, workflows etc. It takes time to get right, and often gets in your way as often as it helps. As long as our community is small we don't need this.
