RE: Regular Meeting - oops

I get nervous when you say things like "next Tuesday", Mike.  I'm guessing
that you mean "Tuesday 13th April, as per the Beijing LUG website's notice
of meeting".

Given we have members with varying degrees of English capability (and that
is just the foreigners! ;-) I'd prefer if we got a bit more precise about
our times and places.  This may go against the traditional spirit of a LUG,
but heck, everyone I know up here in Beijing is massively busy.  Clear
messages on times and places helps out all of us.  Suggest we use standard
Chinese date format: 2004.04.13 for maximum clarity.

If we're lacking a presentation, why not just have an open Q&A session?  One
person asks a question which has been troubling them, the group does their
best to come up with a sensible answer, each question limited to, say, 6
minutes?

One other concern I have from our last meeting was that while it was
brilliant to have over 40 people, I thought it was really uncomfortable to
be squeezed into that little room with no air (not to mention that it was
really hard for the staff to cope).  If we're 40, should we be in the
restaurant proper?  We can't (well, we shouldn't) expect 40+ people to fit
into that room at Morels.

Sorry to be whiny.  It's been a difficult day... &-/

PS, I dig Morels.  A lot.  Morel has been very generous.  I'm just concerned
about the logistics of fitting so many people into a room made for less than
half that number.
