Follow-up clarifications

By the way -- I am not an expert in Linux, and I'm quite aware that my post has
nothing to do with Linux.  But then -- as clearly acknowledged by Richard in the
title of his post -- this article had nothing to do with Linux.

I responded for one simple reason -- within the confines of the subject matter
of this post, I felt that Richard was displaying a gross degree of ignorance on
the subject of Chinese culture; that those comments were both inaccurate AND
inappropriate in a forum like this; and that his subsequent self-justifications
were spurious and without merit.

If people want to remove this thread, no problem; I agree that it is entirely
inappropriate for a forum such as this.

On the other hand, if Richard wants "debate" on this subject -- as he claimed he
did with Fred -- then that's exactly what I'm quite happy to give him.

Personally, I think he'd be better to stick to Linux -- something he at least
knows something about.
