I'm proposing, if there are no serious objections, 2025-08-09 4pm 'til whenever, that https://meet.jit.si/CABAL be "borrowed"/commandeered for: virtual ONLY Debian release party[1]! Notably, Debian 13 Trixie will be released as Debian's newest major version stable release on 2025-08-09[2], and some release parties are customary[3] for the day[4] (or thereabout) when Debian has a major release. (Coincidentally, last major release date was 2023-06-10 - and it was a CABAL meeting day - I was there and brought cookies and some appropriately colored frosting for cookies and do-it-yourself Debian logo swirls.) Also, since CABAL will NOT be meeting on 2025-08-09[5][6][7], https://meet.jit.si/CABAL would not otherwise be in use that date, and for any folks that missed the bit about this month's change in date for the CABAL meeting, or really can't wait the extra two weeks for a Linux meeting, could at least find on 2025-08-09 and CABAL's otherwise regular meeting date and time, at least a virtual Linux meeting, and probably at least some folk(s) there that would know about CABAL's meeting having been rescheduled this month. Rick: If feasible, you may want to update: http://linuxmafia.com/cabal/ Notably to indicate no actual CABAL meeting on 2025-08-09.
