Could it be that the router has a "guest access" mode?  I have seen some 
routers where you can set up a secured wifi password for one band (say 
the 5 GHz band), while allowing reduced guest access on the other band.  
If this is the case, perhaps the guest access mode does not have 
security set up properly.  (This is somewhat speculation though so I may 
be way off on this and would welcome any corrections.  I seem to 
remember disabling guest access in the past as I want to control who is 
on my network.)

But if all the computers are accessing the same wifi router (not the 
admin interface), then there *is* potential for one computer to access 
another.  The likelyhood is another issue, but the potential would be there.

If you are talking about accessing the admin interface for the router 
without a password, that *should* only be doable to anyone who already 
has access to your network.  Still - that would be a situation just 
begging for abuse and I would highly recommend setting a strong admin 
password.  If someone unauthorized can access the admin interface, then 
all bets are off for security as they can set up pretty much anything 
they wanted.  But they would have to do it from your internal network in 
the first place (unless explictly over-ridden), so again the likelyhood 
is slim.
