Thank you for your response! Your email arrived while I was reading an article on Rapid Start Technology and wondering if I had gotten them mixed up somehow. Things are cleared up now :-)

I don't purchase computers often but when I do I love to take the opportunity to dive back in and have a detailed look at what's happened in the industry. Unexpectedly, I see this new addition to PC configurations - cached information retrieval and storage (with SSD's, processor and kernel support). That's great!

The i7-7700K is equipped to cut the amount of time it takes for the turbo to activate. Right On. Perfect for the uses I have for the new computer system (web browsing, running scheduled applications, development...).

I'm continuing to dig in on my research and I am positive I will find the right system.
