I backed up my home directory so I can find those files. I didn't know if I could just use the old files. I'll copy that folder over and give it a try.

Thanks,

Joe

Subject: Re: [clug-talk] Claws-mail: transferring configuration

You'll need to figure out where the claws configuration files were kept on your old system. I think the default is $HOME/.claws-mail/. If you copy this folder to your new system you should be good. Your mail itself may be in a different place, but the configuration files probably say where.

If you copied your entire home directory from the old system, you may find that claws is already set up with the previous configuration. However, if you backed up only the files and directories you can see, ie the ones that don't begin with '.', you'll be missing a lot of important stuff.
