Hi Guys,

I just thought you might be interested in this. The Chicago LUG will
be screening RiP! A Remix Manifesto this Saturday. The film discusses
the impact of copyright and copyleft on the music industry. If you
find this topic interesting I would encourage you to attend. I have
heard that this film is a really good documentary. Feel free to pass
this information along to anyone else you feel might be interested.

Kevin

Hey all,

I just wanted to let everyone know that the Chicago LUG's October
meeting will be on this Saturday (October 10th) at 3pm. It will be
held at the same location as usual at the Institute of Design. The
Institute of Design is located at 350 N. LaSalle Ave, Chicago IL
60610. It is a couple block walk from the CTA and garage parking is
available across the street. We will be watching a film called Rip! A
Remix Manifesto[1][2] for this month's meeting. Both Lawrence Lessig
and Cory Doctorow make an appearance in this film. The film talks
about the impact of copyright and copyleft (creative commons) on the
music industry. Following the film we will be having an open
discussion on the film and points it might have brought up. Please
forward this message to any other groups or individuals that might
have an interests in the topic of the impact of copyright and copyleft
on the music industry. I hope to see everyone there and please bring
friends. If you have any questions please feel free to send me an
email at special.kevin-Re5JQEeQqe9fmgfxC/sS/[email protected]
