You didn't actually decrypt it then. Doing that is not going to help. You've at least figured out you have to decrypt using PGP (presumably with gnupg in your case). How do you encrypt and decrypt a PGP message? There are two basic methods. Symmetric and assymetric crypto. aka shared key and public key crypto respectively. If its asymmetric crypto, you need to have a key to decrypt? Do you have it? If not, then what?
