The GNU tools were written long before Linus wrote the Linux kernel.
Linus ONLY developed the kernel..
Richard Stallman had the vision to create a Unix-like operating system
long before Linus wrote the kernel.

Linus then took the GNU tools to make the project complete.

Thus Richard Stallman is the father of Linux.
