[ Sorry if you're getting multiple copies of this - jtk ] dlc, All I can say for sure at the moment is that we're putting together a last minute workshop to be held sometime on Wednesday, November 13. Probably to be held in the afternoon somewhere in the Loop campus. Owen DeLong, the venerable HE.net IPv6 evangelist, is again coming to visit us at DePaul. His visit and our preparation is all very last minute so we're going to fly by the seat of our pants and try to put an informal, but hopefully very educational gathering together. Owen wants to take us on a "Humorous romp through the evolution of the address space and the history of IPv4 and how we got to where we are." I am thinking of talking about some things going on in the ops world, perhaps related to what we see on the net such as DDoS attacks or some of the work being done by the Dragon Research Group (DRG) which I'm a part of. Since we may have a small, but important DePaul I.S. contigent of folks at this one, I aim to cover something pratical, timely and relevant for today's net/sec ops people. If you have ideas, suggestions or even want to propose leading a discussion, demo or debate, let me know. Just be quick about it, we need to finalize whatever this is ASAP. Stay tuned here for updates.
