Recently lost a couple of hostnames @ DynDNS (routers had not checked in and I ignored the warning emails from Dyn). Was able to replace two hostnames for free, so no great loss. The free account limit was reduced I think? Since I refer only to workaddress.example.com (where example.com is a domain I control) & CNAME from that to asdfasdfasdfasdf.dyndns.org, it didn't hurt to switch the dyndns hostnames; just had to update the CNAME entries. Something about owning at least enough of your stuff to fix when it breaks I guess.
