When it goes sluggish it comes right from rebooting. The sluggishness is annoying but not nearly as much so as when the delete key goes rogue and I lose all or most of what I wrote. and/or is the disk drive light > constantly flashing? Light? Um, little blue light in top LH corner above keyboard? Haven't noticed. I think if it started flashing I'd have noticed because that's weird. It's like losing my memories - that's the trouble with keeping memories written down not in one's head. So now I use gmail because whatever else I have, google is always there. I haven't had the trouble with gmail, but since it's intermittent (grrrrrrrr!) that could be coincidence. You mention using another keyboard. This is the one that is built into the machine, I have a separate one that should work off the same as the mouse but it didn't, not on this "new" computer (tablet, it was called but it's like a laptop with screen + keyboard) though it had been good with the noisy old PC. Maybe the pair of them are old and cranky, might be worth replacing them eh?
