I agree. However, I imagine (just guessing here) that if you have
precise-backports enabled, when you do a release-upgrade you'll have
trusty-backports enabled. I don't think we turn backports on by default (In
fact, I'm pretty sure we don't do that), but it's possible that Worik had
them enabled in precise, at a time in the development cycle where there
weren't many things being added to backports. Then, after doing a
release-upgrade to trusty, all of a sudden had a firehose-stream of
backports hitting his system :)

Anyway, it sounds like we solved the issue, which is awesome.
